How do I get to Mafia Island:
There are two options to get to Mafia. You can fly from Dar es Salaam to Mafia or you can take the bus from Dar es Salaam to Nyamisati and take the ferry from there.
What are the best activities on Mafia?
The best activities depend on what you like. We offer different kind of things to do varying from snorkling and swimming with sharks to chilling on the boat for a sunset tour.
When is it a good time to swim with the Whaleshark and Humpback Whales?
Humpback whales hang around Mafia in July and August. The Whalesharks are here all year round, but from October to end of February it is the high season.
What do I need to bring to the excursions?
We will provide snorkles and flippers, but it is important that you bring sunscreen and other things you think you might need. If you need anything additionally your guide will always let you know beforehand.
Do I need cash or can I pay with card?
We prefer cash, otherwise you can pay with Mpesa. Card payments are not available yet.
Do I have to pay the fees for the Marine Park?
Yes, the prices of the tours are excluding the park fees for the Marine Park. The fees are around $20 dollars per person.
